Amy is a student at Metropolitan University studying physiotherapy. She welcomed the chance to design a cow for CowParde as it offered the creative side of her brain the chance to kick start back into action. Originally from the Southeast, Amy enjoys everything the North West has to offer from climbing in the Peaks to drinking in Manchester bars. Her only other claim to artistic fame is winning a "Draw a tree" competition, aged 7, giving her the chance to plant a tree. Now she is looking forward to painting a cow in Manchester. "Living in a city it is easy to become convinced that its concrete jungle is depressing and ugly. However, the more time I spend in Manchester, the more beautiful I find it, the more amazing its various buildings seem, the more wondrous the surroundings and people are. Living here, I've realised that nature is not the only provider of magnificent landscapes - man's endless buildings and roads are achievements that exude a sometimes hidden beauty."
