- Annabel Church Smith
Having originally trained in textiles, Annabel's work is strongly influenced by pattern. The main purpose of her work is to entertain and she aims to portray a sense of fun and light heartedness throughout her work. During 2002 Annabel was involved with CowParade London. Her five cows were displayed in prominent places around the capital such as Trafalgar Square and at three underground stations as part of platform for art. Annabel still works for CowParade as the Cow Doctor mending and retouching the cows when required. Her design for Lowry Cow was selected to launch CowParade Manchester 2004. Every year Annabel visits the island of Nevis where she shows and sells all her work through the Eva Wilkin Gallery. She also paints commissioned pieces and is currently working on a book based on Caribbean life.
