- Charlotte Newson, Graeme Urlwin & Village People
Charlotte Newson is a visual artist. Within this she creates powerful images of unusual beauty. These images are translated into set design, public art, installations, street art, parades and inspiring others to create their own vision. Her materials are as diverse as the locations of her work, from street sites to ferris wheels, gallery and theatre contexts. Her recent work saw her co-ordinating '6 in the village', the official Europride entry in the Manchester Europride Parade 2003 (England). In addition she has received several awards and completed many commissions in varied media and diverse materials. Her work has been exhibited in the States and in Europe. Charlotte Newson has an impressive and broad experience across the arts. Her skills and expertise are called on to develop strategic and creative arts programmes for local government and within Higher Education mentoring arts graduates.
