- Julia Midgley
Julia Midgley is a Reader in Documentary Drawing at Liverpool School of Art & Design, L.J.M.U; an Associate, & a Council Member of the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers. Most recently her name has been associated with Documnetary Drawing/Reportage. She is also a printmaker and exhibiting artist. Her work has won national awards for both painting and printmaking. For Year of the Artist Julia was Artist in Residence at Granada Television, and Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Her work features in Private, Public and Corporate collections in this country and internationally. Clients include The Arts Council of England Nort West, The Wellcome Foundation, The National Museum of Science and Industry' Granada Television' Blackpool Pleasure Beach, N.M.Rothschild plc, British Midland Airways and Liverpool Cathedral Centenary Committe. She has produced three publications about her residencies "Drawn from Experience," Granada Sketchbook" "Blackpool Pleasure Beach - A Palette of Life" Currently she is Documentary Artist for English Heritage and Chester City Council's project to excavate the Roman Amphitheatre, Chester.
