- Mark Kennedy
Mark Kennedy, a 38 year old Ardwick-born artist has produced some of Manchester's most iconic works of art, displayed throughout the city - from the exterior of the infamous Afflecks Palace to the Selfridges Exchange Square Hubub restaurant. He has also lived in Madrid, Morocco and spent two years in a Tibetan centre as a monk. Drawing on Mark's spirituality and factual representatio, the cow relates to the ethos of the "Sacred Cow". A real Mancunian cow has been saved from the slaughter house and adopted by Selfridges and was the inspiration and muse for Mark's mosaic tiled cow.
